Idealisms
I must admit to being prone to occasional periods (some might say attacks) of idealistic reflection. I truly believe it is through this sort of examination that we make progress...no - Really! Anyway - you are invited to witness certain of my attacks.
- "Work like you don't need the money -- Love like you've never been hurt -- Dance like nobody's watching." - don't know who wrote it - but it's too good to not list
- "Most men will not swim until they are able to." - Novalis (or Hesse?)
- The Bonsai Master - An Allegory for Management.
- It is a sobering thought, for example, that when Mozart was my age - he had been dead for five years. - plagerized {8^) from Tom Lehrer
- Horace's Horror - Why is it so hard to test Software?
- Have you ever wondered about the first person who looked at a raw oyster and thought - "Ummmmmm Boy! I think I'm gonna eat that!" {:-\
- "If you're bleeding, look for a man with scars." - Leela
- "A lesson from the monkey: The higher it climbs, the more you can see of
its behind." - Saint Bonaventure
- "The higher we soar, the smaller we seem to those who cannot fly." -- Tina
...a function that is, unfortunately, too often invertable - hav {;-)
- "If you aim to dispense with method, learn method.
If you aim at facility, work hard. If you aim for simplicity, master complexity." -Chieh Tzu Yuan Hua Chan (ca. 17th century), - quoted in The Mustard Seed Garden Manual of Painting.
